Yog(K)O(SH)A: is a soulful wish come true with beautiful intention and an ultimate life-purpose to achieve health in a holistic manner and invigorate our senses with the consistent practice of Yoga.
The name 'YOG(K)O(SH)A:' is a combination of Yoga and 5 sheaths knowns as Kosha (Annamaya, Pranamaya, Manomaya, Vijnanamaya and Anandmaya Kosha) of our whole being that are directly affected by 5 elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether) in our body. As I personally owe a lot to my parents in the way they groomed me to bloom as a human, I devote this personal mission of bringing health and happiness to everyone by honoring them and incorporating the initials of their names- (K) for Krishna, my doting father and my ever-vibrant mother (SH) Sheela. No name could have been better as a title for my life-purpose and intention of seeing everybody healthy and happy!
At 'YOG (K)O(SH)A:', there are 4 types of sessions available-
Yogic texts believe that as bliss is the natural state of your mind, health is the natural state of your body. When your mind is in its natural state, you feel peaceful naturally. Similarly, when your body is in its natural state – when the various constituents of your body, like humours (dosha), tissues (dhatu), digestive fire (agni), and energy flow (vayu) are in equilibrium – you are disease-free; you are healthy.
Yoga is not an exercise. Yoga is a lifestyle. Yoga is brushing the teeth in the morning, praying in front of God, eating food calmly, doing our duties with gratitude and love, sleeping on time with a grateful heart. Yoga doesn’t come with only asanas and pranayama. It is more than that and Yoga teachings are there to bring about everything from where spirituality starts.
Any thought that disturbs your mental balance is a negative thought even if it is about God. Conversely, any thought that gives you peace is a positive thought. The more you fill your mind with positive thoughts, the better your state of mind will be. And that naturally results in better physical health.
Ever heard someone practicing Yoga say, “Somehow I feel happy and calm after my practice.” “My body feels open and free.” “I have become flexible, my back doesn’t hurt anymore.” “My knee pain is gone since I started Yoga!” “Things do not agitate me anymore!” Etc This is what a rejuvenated body and mind feel like. You are happy with everything going inside your body and mind, making a balance with everything outside of your body and mind.
Everything starts with stress. Stress starts diseases and discomforts. Diseases and discomforts start keeping the mind anxious. Once this vicious cycle breaks, we enjoy our life more. We feel free!

I have heartfelt gratitude towards Yoga which helped me greatly in dealing with PCOS & getting pregnant naturally. It has helped me improve my mental calmness, physical flexibility & balance. Jiya is not only a great instructor but one of the most kindest person I have ever known who helped me choose my own pace that my body was comfortable with. I started yoga in 2019 and fell in love with the practice immediately. Primarily because of the mind body breath connection that I enjoyed with my other love, swimming. I have written about Yoga before and especially about the release of stress and pain that i feel consistently after every session that has always been consistent. I’ve practiced with Jiya for over 1 and a half years and she’s been the perfect yoga companion- kind and compassionate which is exactly what one needs to show themselves and their bodies during practice. I’ve evolved physically but also mentally, slowly getting over biases and fears through the sessions. My mobility and flexibility has improved that in turn has helped my body ease in with any type of movement easily. I’m thankful to Jiya for such an amazing journey daily.

I joined Jiya ji's yoga online class from the comfort of my home without any hassles, I joined her class after my 4th surgery for Piles and her yoga class helped me immensely in my recovery and strengthening my pelvic floor muscles and helping with balance and strength and after 8 weeks of classes I have fully recovered with her guidance and support and I am in much better shape physically and mentally. I really got a lot of relief and contentment with the yoga sessions. I would take a few of Hasan's for the rest of my life, especially around the lower back. My favorite part of the session is Jiya is continuously providing information about asanas and which body part it has an impact on, and also she instructs slowly with beginners which is good. The themed sessions are also very useful. Thank you again for helping us get fit.

I am Vishnu, 37 yr male nurse from Mumbai. I got covid 3 times. After the 3rd covid, I started developing breathing problems and many other health problems like obesity, diabetes etc. I couldn’t control my emotions. My mental health was deteriorating . I started developing stress, insomnia etc. My close friend introduced me to a Yoga Instructor, Jiya. After I started Yoga with Jiya, I started feeling changes within 2weeks. A flow of positive energy within me that I observed and my family was also happy when they saw a change in me. Best part was she schedules for me according to my timing. One hour yoga session was stretched to 2 hour so that i could do properly. She took efforts for me and made me do yoga to my full strength. After 2 months, my weight started to decrease, my mental peace was improving. I was in a good place of my life. My family and I truly feel lucky to have a Yoga teacher as dedicated as her. Being a complete beginner to yog journey I had a lot of reservations initially while joining the class. But it turned out to be one of the most positive experiences I have ever had with my fitness journey. I love the format how Jiya plans and conducts each session. Her instruction and way of teaching is excellent. With Jiya's instructions I was able to fix my wrist pain which I have had for months and months before joining yoga. For the first time, I can feel I am making progress and can feel a change in my body. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication that you put into your work Jiya 🙌 👏 🙏
The online yoga classes with Jiya have changed my perspective towards physical exercises. Despite being virtual, her easy-to-follow steps and guidance throughout the session make it clear and effective. It has made me realize the importance and benefits of regular yoga. I started doing Yoga during the Covid Pandemic. Online classes suited me well and I managed to do Yoga for about 6 months and soon realized the benefits and advantages of it. Fortunately, my wife became a Yoga instructor and I started attending her sessions. I honestly liked the way she adds asanas in the class keeping in mind the needs of other students as per their body’s nature and demands, but the best part of Jiya’s class is the meditation at the end of every session. I personally enjoy the last 15 minutes of meditation which really calms my nerves and gives me the most relaxing time of my day. Thanks for sharing your experiences and knowledge with others and helping others in keeping healthy and productive.
I suffered from constant neck & shoulder pain, to an extent that I had accepted pain as part of my body. I used to take regular massages, chiropractor sessions as well. While they helped, pain used to come back. I joined Уoga Classes under Jiya (I was her first student!). Within 2-3 months,I could feel that there was no pain at all. The feeling in those days is beyond explanation, how good I felt! And since then, I have been taking Yoga sessions. Sessions with Yog Kosha: has instilled so much calmness and peace within me. I highly recommend to give it a try!
I really enjoyed Jiya's classes - she was really sensitive to any preexisting conditions I had and was cognizant of those even during classes. She would give ample modifications which made me attempt difficult postures. Her classes are curated very well and she explained the health benefits of the postures very well. Her passion for yoga shines through in every class she takes and she goes out of her way to care for her students!
Jiya is a calm, gentle and skillful teacher! I have been practicing yoga with Jiya for over a year now and I thoroughly enjoy her classes. It has had a tremendous impact on my overall well-being. My core strength and posture have also improved. Her sessions are mindful, friendly and relaxing whilst still providing a challenge physically. Her classes are the ideal balance between effort and relaxation! She really has a talent for working with each individuals abilities and needs within the class and gently encourages adjustments to suit each individual. I’ve learned so much by practicing with her that now, I am committed to yoga in a way I never had before. I am very grateful to Jiya for her guidance. I highly recommend her!
I joined Yoga with Jiya in 2022 when I heard a bunch of people talking about it. I saw Jiya’s reel how she did not go for medicine for her severe anxiety and I started thinking if it was possible. I also came across feedbacks given by people on her Insta and it stayed with me. I am in the profession where stress just follows you in every form and shape. And everytime I was stressed, Yoga called me! With a lot of apprehensions, I joined her because I wanted and want to keep my identity private. Jiya worked with me, on me like a pro. I cannot believe someone could be so impactful even through online sessions. I did not know I was this stiff and this flexible until I started Yoga. Jiya told me one thing that she wanted time and consistency and rest is her job. I am not going to lie, sometimes I did not want to come to Yoga because I was having panic attacks but Jiya had told me that it doesn’t matter which sessions I join, i can come and simply sleep on the mat and that is fine. so, this is what I did sometimes! Jiya saved me is the understatement. My body is better now, weight has reduced, thyroid is normal (was not easy to do and be patient with it), panic attacks have reduced and I feel happy. In Jiya, I have found a therapist, a friend and a kind human. I do not want to lose my best 60 minutes of the day. I’d highly recommend her!
I joined my Joga session with Jiya di when I was very stressed and depressed in my life after loosing both my parents in just 10days and unable to adjust to my life routine whether it's my professional life or personal life. Even Dr. prescribed me the medication which I know have so many side effects too, and I chose not to take that and started practising yoga and that works on me amazingly and slowly i starting came out form my stress. Hello Jiya,It has been one year since I am learning yoga from your classes.It has been very beneficial for me as well as for my kids. Your yoga classes changed my daily life. I love your sessions as they are beneficial not only for new comers, but all age groups and gradually you raise the level of understanding and hardship. You take care of not only our physical health, but also our mental health. Even in online classes you are attentive and take care of us as if we are practicing before you. Had a good experience learning yoga from Jiya. She creates a very natural and relaxed environment. She takes time in explaining each poses and she focus on each students. She gives us time to adapt. She is a very optimistic person, and once you are in the session, you will get such positive vibes. She takes care of each and everyone, whether in the group class or 1:1 session. Yog with Jiya has played to huge role in my life, it not just helped my physically but had a huge impact on my mental well-being. I joined the classes when me and my partner were planning to start our family. My aim was to get active and be more flexible. Jiya as a guru is very patient and persistent at the same time. She was always mindful of my body’s limitations and abilities and always gently pushed me to do better. Even during my pregnancy she paid special attention to my health and curated asana for my comfort. I had a pretty smooth pregnancy and I honestly feel Yog (Jiya) placed a major role in it.
